Best Honeymoon Packages???

William asks…

Whats a better destination for a honeymoon? Hawaii or the Bahamas?

Taking to account that I would be leaving out of Los Angeles, and the wedding happens in the winter, which destination is better? And in this economy, price is definitely a factor. An all inclusive trip in the Bahamas versus a closer location of Hawaii? Any helpful suggestions?

admin answers:

Hi, Try Caye Caulker, off the coast of Belize, much cheaper !

Sandy asks…

Hawaii or Florida is a better honeymoon destination?

we are not the average couple. We are a Canadian Gay Couple. Hawaii and Maldives just sounded like places for sea lovers. We are more interested where there is plenty of shopping and nightlife along with class. A Coastal area may be preffered but not like Hawaii where everything centres Around it. Gay friendly please.

admin answers:

Key West, hands down. Lots of nightlife, sunny and coastal, one of the most gay friendly places in the US. There are tons of B&Bs and businesses that cater directly to gay couples.

Good luck and congrats.

Chris asks…

Should I go to Hawaii or St Lucia on my honeymoon?

Considering both as a honeymoon destination. I’ve been to St Lucia (briefly). I know St Lucia is the more affordable of the two, but I have airline and Hilton points that might make it pretty even cost wise. I’m leaning towards Hawaii. I live on the east coast.

admin answers:

My son and daughter in law went to Hawaii and it was utterly wonderful. Your honeymoon is something which you will remember all your life, so if you can manage Hawaii, do so. St Lucia will wait!

However….if funds are tight, the good news is that the lack of tourists in the Caribbean at the moment has pushed prices down and you might be able to get a super deal on St Lucia!

George asks…

October Honeymoon Destination: Greece or Hawaii?

My fiance and I are having trouble deciding where to spend our honeymoon in mid-October of this year, and we’re equally torn between Greece and Hawaii. We went to a few places in Europe last year and absolutely fell in love with it, and we’re looking for the same type of experience for our honeymoon. In addition to that, we’re leaning towards Greece because it’s a little less-typical than Hawaii (which everyone seems to have honeymooned, though for good reason I’m sure). That said, we’re also looking for a “sure thing” when it comes to weather, and we’d like to spend a couple days just laying on the beach regardless of where we end up. For those of you who have been to both, preferably in the same time frame, what would you recommend?

admin answers:

Are you smoking something,bro?HAWAII!!!
If you go to greece, you can have a divorce after that.
It sucks.

John asks…

Which is better honeymooning destination, Cozumel or Maui Hawaii?

Me and my fiance can’t decide whether we should go to Cozumel in Mexico or Hawaii. We are planning our honeymoon trip in July. Anyone who has been to both places? Which is better for a honeymoon?
Thanks in advance

admin answers:

Cozumel is cheaper by a mile. However there are flies and the water is suspect .
Hawaii is good and the water is drinkable. In July you will get the odd benign tropical rain shower . I would go for Hawaii .

Best Honeymoon Packages???

Ken asks…

I am plannning to take my honeymoon in December in Hawaii. Any recommendations on places and packages ?

admin answers:

Our travel agent booked us through Classic Vacations http://classicvacations.vacationport.net/hawaii.asp and got us some good deals. We went to Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. Kauai was my favorite island, but the whole trip was fantastic. We stayed at the Hyatt on both Maui and Kauai. I definitely would recommend it! Very nice hotel on both islands.

Enjoy yourselves and congrats!

George asks…

Need help for honeymoon in Hawaii?

Does anyone know where I can find a pre-packaged Hawaii vacation for cheap? I don’t know which island is the cheapest, but also nice. I am looking more for isolation than the city. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks!

admin answers:

I just took a look at the orbitz site. There are so many packages to Hawaii.
Other sites will have these as well.
Your best bet is to go work with a travel agent. They can help you plan a package that meets your needs.

Have Fun.

William asks…

I am booking a honeymoon to Hawaii for June 2007. Is it cheaper to book separate or through a package?

I am looking for air, hotel and car together.

admin answers:

You usually do better by booking everything together. Check with Travelocity for deals.

Sharon asks…

where can i get a low price on a honeymoon getaway to hawaii?

(package) need to include:
-hotel
-airfare
-food
-possibly a tour
something romance but at a LOW price
for a week

admin answers:

Aloha!

There are a lot of great hotel/flight/car packages to HI right now, some will also have inexpensive tours – I also have a lot of info on tours and inexpensive/free activities in HI that you can choose to do!

Package will not likely include food unless you stay in a hotel that includes free breakfast (and I recommend getting a hotel with fridge/microwave to help on food costs if budget is important). All Inclusive resorts don’t exist in the US (its too expensive to run them)

If you wanted to send me info on your budget & travel dates I would be happy to price some packages for you including honey moon special sales. I am a travel agent and don’t mind doing this for you even if you dont book with me

Joseph asks…

Would you rather go to Hawaii or the Cayman Islands?

I’m planning a honeymoon and narrowed it down to these two places. Both resorts are nice.

admin answers:

Cayman — great snorkeling! And not quite as expensive as Hawaii. Congratulations on getting married.

Mark asks…

i would like to go to hawaii maui..?

Hello,
We got married and like to go on our honeymoon to hawaii maui..any ideas where to stay (hotels, resorts..) and what to do there?
Thank you!

admin answers:

It depends on your budget for the place. You can stay at places for $300 to $400 a night or you can get a place for around $100. You can check ratings and prices on places and activities on tripadvisor.com. The other end of the spectrum are places like the Hyatt Regency, Marriot, etc. We found a condo on the beach for $100 a night on the website. You can take a helicopter tour, glider tour, snorkeling cruise, hiking tour, horseback riding tour, go swimming and snorkeling at the various beaches, tour the volcano, drive the road to hana and check out the waterfalls, stop and have lunch at the black sand beach on the way to hana. If you have the time, you can fly or take the ferry to Molokai and tour the island for the day. The big Island of Hawaii is great if have several days and money to tour both Kona and HIlo side which are very diverse in vegetation along waterfalls, beaches, botanical garden, Parker Ranch, and another volcano to check out.

George asks…

What is the best cabana resort in Hawaii for the money?

I need the help of some Hawaii experts here. I am trying to plan a honeymoon with my wife and I’m finding it a bit difficult to find the type of place I want between all the advertising :( . We are looking for the kind of place where you get your own cabana by the beach. We totally want to “get away” on this one and we don’t want to be near the hustle and bustle of any huge tourist ridden locations. Volcanoes, state parks, and other “attractions” are fine, but we definitely don’t want to be in any big cities. Going for the more private island type of feel. Any suggestions are welcome, but please keep in mind that I don’t have millions lying around waiting to be blown on some “out of reach” resort where you actually GET the private island ;) Thanks!

admin answers:

Hey Cody, good question, and thank you for come to Hawaii, ok? You know, what you ask for available hea, but you rite, hafta get thru alla crap advertizing, so I try to help, ok? On Oahu, which most populated island, but also have some of best scenery, go online and check out Turtle Bay Resort, they got cabana/condo rite onna beach, not too many people round, cause Turtle Bay onna part of island that not too many tourist know bout, and really great place to get away, and enjoy, but have great food, good activity, and good value too, ok? And if you wanna really nice meal, you can go ova to resorts at Waikiki, to place like Roy’s, and get very romantic dinner with maybe best food inna alla islands, then go back to private beach, ok? Also great golf course too, but have horseback ride, rent mountain bike, and walk onna uncrowded beach, all good stuff, ok? Of course, Big Island have several place similar, so check out Kona Coast, lotta end point type resort, they got semi private beach, and only people who be there gonna be people who at hotel at the same time you are, ok? Of course several similar place on Kauai, and Maui, so really just take you pick, ok? Now, if you want real privacy, the Hana Hotel, which in Hana onna island of Maui can’t be beat, but take a while to get there, and not too many place to eat, kina rustic, and beach not that safe to swim, so hope this help, Peace and aloha to you!

Sharon asks…

Tropical Honeymoon Places?

I really want a tropical honeymoon. I was thinking about Hawaii. Anyone been there? What’s the best island to go to?

Also, has anyone been to the Sandals resorts? What did you think of it? Did you need a passport?

admin answers:

I also went to Couples Ocho Rios in Jamaica for my honeymoon in October. Both of us loved it and would consider returning. I definitely recommend looking into that resort. Also, I know someone else who went to the Sandals in Jamaica, but Couples seemed to be better. There were a lot of activities included at Couples that cost extra at the Sandals in Jamaica, like hiking Dunns River Falls, scuba diving, shopping trips, horseback riding, etc. There are a lot of fun things to do on site too, and you can do as little or as much as you want each day. We usually did one big activity and then chilled the rest of the day. In the evening it was fun to get a little bit dressed up for dinner, but it’s all very laid back. I hope this helps some! Sorry that I don’t know much about Hawaii.

David asks…

Hawaii vacation..?

I am going on my honeymoon to hawaii. What clothes should I bring and I am also going to a luau..the luau is a big event the resort is hosting, what I should wear to that as well?

admin answers:

Hi there…I got married 1 year and a few months ago and I went to HI for my honeymoon too!…then for our 1st year anniversary we went again. We LOVE it there.

Anyway, pack light – as another person mentioned, its very casual there and of couse I OVER packed the first time we went. Here are some tips: Bring something fancy (in case you want to go to a fancy dinner), sporty (hiking/horse back riding), and the rest of the clothes can be casual – shorts, flip flops, t-shirts, etc.
Check this site out…I really like it because its very honest and informational and they dont sell anything! They also have great pics.
Good luck and have tons of fun! Aloha!

Linda asks…

Where is the best place to honeymoon in Hawaii?

I am planning for next May 2009 to go to Hawaii. My husband have been married for 8 years but no vacation and 5 kids later I think we are due.

admin answers:

From living on the islands I’d also have to say either Oahu or Maui. Heck it might be nice to go to more than one island. As there is the Super Ferry which nowadays is just as cheap as taking a plane ride between islands since airlines are charging between 10-17 dollars a bag.

Maui is more of a resort island known for its beautiful beaches and resorts. Great if you want to lounge around.

Oahu has a little bit of everything if you know where to look and has a few of the 1000 things to do before you die on it; such as hiking up Diamond Head; the view is spectacular! They also have the USS Arizona Memorial, Waikiki Beach, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Polynesian Culture Center, Sea World and Kualoa Ranch. Kualoa Ranch has several nice tours that take you off the normal paths that not many people realize they can tour. If you’re a film buff like me there is a movie tour that takes you through the areas where Jurassic Park was filmed, 50 First Dates, King Kong etc. Also don’t forget to eat some malasadas

Good luck with your trip planning.

Ken asks…

What is the best way to travel between islands in Hawaii?

I’m looking to book a vacation to Hawaii for my honeymoon next June and would like to split my time between Oahu and Maui. What is the best way to travel between Islands? Has anyone had any personal experience with these islands?

admin answers:

Any one of four inter island air carriers: Aloha Air, Hawaiian Air, Go Air, or Island Air. However, this just in from Pacific Business News:

The interisland airline Go! Reposted its $29 one-way fares last week and announced over the weekend it was extending the offer through Monday night.
Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group Inc. (Nasdaq: MESA), operator of go!, said it was extending the offer “just for the heck of it.”
The initial offer, which was matched by Hawaiian Airlines and Aloha Airlines, was for selected seats on selected flights with several blackout periods around the holidays of November and December.

“Once again we’ve received an amazing response to our fare sale,” said Joe Bock, chief marketing officer for go!
Last week Mesa Air Group reported that go!’s load factor had fallen to about three quarters full in August.
Interisland air capacity is up significantly — more than 10 percent — from the same time last year, due to three factors: (1) a substantial expansion of Island Air, whose smaller aircraft now fly more routes than either Hawaiian or Aloha as they serve routes most of which are not served by the larger carriers; (2) the launch of go! With frequent service between Honolulu and the four major interisland destinations of Lihue, Kahului, Kona and Hilo; and (3) an expansion of Hawaiian and Aloha service to those same destinations in an effort to prevent go! From wresting market share from the legacy carriers.

Personal suggestion for time allotment: I recommend a 50/50 split between Maui and O’ahu. Just remember: summer is peak season; lotsa tourists, lotsa little kids, lotsa college kids, lotsa traffic… But also lotsa fun…

James asks…

Where to stay in Hawaii what island for “second honeymoon”?

What island in Hawaii should we go to for our “second honeymoon
or just a nice peaceful vacation. We’d like things to be able to do, neat things to do and/or see & hopefully nice relaxed people.
Our honeymoon was in Jamaica which we fell in love with–very peaceful, very nice nature and natural, very nice laid back people, a lot of things to do.

Please help me with the Hawaiian people, culture, things to do, where to stay, etc.

admin answers:

I would recommend Maui. It is not as crowded as the other islands, but it still has a lot to do. You can go to the beach, go snorkeling, go shopping, go on a whale watching trip (if you go at the right time), tour a volcano, or do the Road to Hana, which is a beautiful drive through the rainforest. One of the best aspects of the island is that there are really nice resorts like the Grand Wailea and the Royal Lahaina that would be the perfect place to spend a second honeymoon. You can find more information and ideas here:

http://www.vacationsmadeeasy.com/MauiHI/lodging/

Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

George asks…

Where would you go on your Honeymoon?

If you got married to the love of your life which Country would you choose to go on your honeymoon vacation. I would go to Barbados, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or the Bahamas.

admin answers:

I would like to re do my honeymoon since it was a disaster. I would like to take my wife to Hawaii or Canada.

Mandy asks…

Where is the best place to have a honeymoon in July?

I do not want to go to the Carribean … have yet to hear from someone who loved their Carribean vacation … Hawaii is nice I guess, but is so expensive, and seems sort of cliche yeah? Any other ideas for nice honeymoon spots in tropical locations?

admin answers:

If you are looking for tropical locations, I would say the bahamas.
But if it’s July, it might be too hot for the tropics. You could spend a vacation at a local beach someplace in the United States. The US has lots of great beaches:
Ocean city, MD
VA beach, VA
Myrtle beach, SC
Atlantic city, NJ
Cape May, NJ
Rehoboth beach, DE
Nags head, NC
or any beach in Florida.

Laura asks…

i want to for my honeymoon in new zealand can please suggest me any package from dubai or india for july?

in that package please include hotel also in very cheaper price. it should be there everything. for package i want for 4 to 5 days only

admin answers:

If you intend to visit for only four or five days then you will have to target a particular area and concentrate your sightseeing there. Without knowing what you like to do, it is difficult to suggest an area. For such a short trip, two main areas come to mind. The Rotorua area (North Island) is good for Maori culture and geo thermal activity. In the South Island, the West Coast for scenery, glaciers, and historical settlements. The major cities are Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington; but a city is a city is a city……… Remember that July is the middle of winter here in NZ. It will be cold!!! Particularly relative to Dubai or India. If you’re a skier or you like snow then the Queenstown area will be of interest (South Island again).

If you want cheap then camp sites are generally of a good standard and have a range of cabin grades to suit most budgets. For such a short period you may find joining a tour is the simplest and most effective way of seeing things.

For ideas take a look at:

Donald asks…

where to go in the honeymoon in Egypt?

and is there a website to chose a package from? and where to find the cheapest price?

admin answers:

Well depends; if you want a resort where you can go diving and so on… Then Hurgada city, marsa allam, sharm… Etc
If you want to visit pyramids and monuments then Cairo, luxor, aswan.

Thomas asks…

honeymoon :0) can you get any package deals with cars and flights included?

well its our 2nd honey moon my mother in law ruined our 1st 1 so for our 1st anniversary my hubby is taking me to where we originally wanted to go its where we fell in love :0)

we are going to scotland to hilton coylumbridge hotel and we need a hire car and flights i was wondering is there any companies out there that can do any package deals that may be cheaper for us ? or will i hve to book them all separetly ive never booked anything like this b4 lol id appreciate any help :0)

admin answers:

Www.bmibaby.com do really cheap flights – got my aunty flights from edinburgh to cardiff for 5.99 one way and 0.01 going back. With taxes and baggage costs it was just over £40. A hire car to be at airport when you arrive would be about £25 per day and you could also drop off at airport when you leave. Dont know of any company that does a package – but i’m sure by booking yourself it would be a lot cheaper – good luck and have a fantastic time

Linda asks…

Affordable All inclusive Honeymoon?

Well, I looked at Sandals.com and they’re cheapest package for one week is about $2,000. My fiance and I will not have that kind of money but we really just want to lay on the beach and be lazy. Maybe a massage or facial, maybe some mixed drinks and obviously we’ll need meals. Does anyone know of anything in the $1000 to $1500 price range or am I just dreaming?

admin answers:

I sound like a product advocate but this service genuinely is really good. I have used them before (when they were on Amazon) and they find really cheap deals for all sorts of trips. Give them a try:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290343743351&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm38%26_nkw%3D290343743351%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

Good luck!
